An announcement was just made about Fox News host Charles Krauthammer’s health that has his fans praying for him.
On Tuesday night, Fox News fans finally got an update on Krauthammer’s health when anchor Bret Baier read a statement from him saying that he is still recovering from surgery and the process is “steadily slower” than he would prefer.
The Hill reported that Krauthammer added that he is “determined to make it back” from a pre-planned surgery he had last year after recommendations by his medical team, explaining that he “ran into some complications” following the procedure.
“Things are progressing steadily slower than I would like, but steadily,” Krauthammer said in the statement. “Still I wish I could give you — and myself — a better idea of when this marathon ends. I am sure it is strange for your viewers that a regular panelist should disappear for months without warning and without any real explanation.”
Krauthammer has not tweeted since August and has not appeared on Fox since then either.
“After my surgery, there were serious complications that took several months to stabilize,” the statement continued. “My improvement has finally allowed me to concentrate on intensive rehabilitation to recover my strength and stamina. This too is progressing well but as usual is intense and slow. Nonetheless, I am determined to make it back. I’ve got to — I can’t let you guys have all the fun.”
Bauer personally noted that his team on “Special Report” misses Krauthammer and his perspective on “the big issues.”
“We continue to hope and pray for your speedy recovery. And until then, we’ll keep your spot warm right here,” Baier added.
It has not been revealed to the public what exactly Krauthammer had surgery for. The beloved Fox News host was permanently paralyzed from the waist down after a diving accident that occurred during his freshman year at Harvard Medical School in 1977 at age 22.
Please keep Charles Krauthammer in your thoughts and prayers!
